Septodont acts for the forest and plants trees
Septodont Group has a strong strategy in terms of Social and Environmental Responsibility and structures its social engagement processes around four areas: employee well-being, respect for the environment, business ethics and philanthropy.
Septodont is committed to an environmental approach, particularly at its industrial sites, aims at reducing its impact and wants to engage beyond a regenerative approach, particularly in partnership with the ONF in France.
What is the ONF?
ONF – Agir pour la forêt ((French National Forests Office) – Act for the Forest”) is an endowment fund created at the initiative of the ONF, which aims at developing, supporting and facilitating actions in France to enhance and protect public forests and associated natural environments.
The program revolves around 6 axes: Plant and regenerate for tomorrow, Act for biodiversity, Act to prevent natural hazards, Act to welcome all audiences, Act to safeguard historical and cultural heritage and Innovate for the forest.
As a result of global warming, forests are dying (especially in the north of France) and the ONF’s challenge is therefore the planting of Mediterranean trees.
Being concerned about the environment and biodiversity and as a patron, Septodont signed a 3-year agreement with the ONF, with the objective of planting 15,000 trees/year in the Louviers region.
