“Hit me with your best shot” – Septodont webinar by Pr Stanley Malamed

A “painless injection” is the #1 criterion for the patient to judge a dentist and several aspects must be taken into account in order to perform a painless, comfortable and effective anesthetic injection. In this program, Professor Malamed will discuss the means of making dental local anesthetic injections both more effective and more comfortable – even with pulpitis.

Topics include: articaine; buffering (the local anesthetic ‘on switch’); phentolamine (the local anesthetic ‘off switch’); and computer-controlled local anesthetic delivery (C-CLAD). An algorithm for more successful mandibular anesthesia will also be presented.

Minimally invasive therapy and ART with Biodentine - Septodont webinar by Dr. Yepes

This webinar provides the attendees with the necessary background and knowledge to understand “minimally invasive” restorative dentistry and the applications of Biodentine.

This topic is critical during these days of global pandemic because of the SARS-CoV-2. The use of aerosols in dentistry must be minimized as much as possible and “minimally invasive” restorative dentistry is an effective way to provide high-quality care with the minimal production of aerosols.

The webinar discusses in detail the indications of Biodentine and the technique within the frame of “Minimally Invasive Therapy”.

Biological treatment of teeth – Septodont webinar by Dr Ganowicz

During the preparation of the cavity, do you wonder how deeply you can remove unhealthy dentin? Are you afraid of carious exposure of the pulp in deep cavities? After the pulp exposure, do you always start root canal treatment? Do you have any doubts about whether to treat the root canal or can you wait? If so, Dr. Ganowicz will talk about the surprising properties of Biodentine.

You will see in which cases it is worth using bioactive cement. You will learn how to do it step by step. You will see how Biodentine behaves in clinical practice and what principles you should follow. And finally, you will check whether it is possible to treat pulpitis (also irreversible) without root canal treatment.

Calcium silicate sealers and the future of root canal obturation: technical tips and results from clinical trial with BioRoot

Root canal obturation is routinely accomplished with the use of either “cold” or “warm” gutta-percha condensation techniques in conjunction with a sealer, which acts as a lubricant, helps to seal off voids and potentially seal any accessory canal. Single cone obturation technique has been often regarded as inadequate due to the potential for apical leakage, however, with the recent advent of hydraulic cement-based endodontic sealer their acceptance has increased because of their increased properties.

During the webinar the investigator of clinical trial Prof. Francesco Mannocci (King’s College London) will present the new data, demonstrating that the calcium silicate cement (BioRoot RCS) in combination with single cone resulted in a similar proportion of successful cases compared to warm vertical condensation and epoxy-based sealer.
